Due to its geography and its climatic diversity, Colombia is the country of South America with the highest energy potential. Solar energy is no exception.
Here is the heating of the cafeteria of the former Bogotá Energy Company (EEB). Built in 1983 by the Las Gaviotas Center, it consists of 140 m2 of collectors and a reservoir of 12,000 liters.
The design studies and efficiency calculations were carried out by the National University of Colombia.
This installation is still in operation.
