The DAR: an handmade electric car

In 1946, the engineer Francisco Dominguez-Adame Romero invented the DAR car, designed and manufactured in 5 months, entirely assembled by hand with the help of his family.
In the early 1940s, Spain suffered from fuel shortages and traffic bans were put in place for oil-engine vehicles. Thus Francisco decides to create his own electric car.
The hull is entirely made of welded sheet. The car has a range of 80 km for a speed between 40 and 50km / h.
After 12 years of use, the vehicle is finally scrapped.
Francisco is also the inventor of many gas generators and an water mill based on an innovative system.
