The Jean Pain method consists in using the energy of the biomass contained in a compost. In 1969, when he settled in Haute Provence as a forest ranger, Jean Pain decided to gather the brush contained on the land under his charge, in order to exploit it in the form of compost. He uses it as a biological fertilizer for a kitchen garden he designed. The method was very effective: Jean Pain did not even need to water the garden, which gave spectacular results. But that’s not all: Jean Pain used his compost to produce heat, thanks to the thermal energy generated by biomass. This method allows it to become autonomous in thermal energy, and to heat water up to 45 ° for at least three months of the year.
