In one country, Niger, where the sun is available more than 300 days of the year, this energy is an almost inexhaustible ally. By building linear cylindrical and parabolic mirrors in order to collect and concentrate solar radiation on a receiver tube placed in the center, the African researcher Abdou Moumouni Dioffo invented for the first time the cylindro-parabolic solar device! He rapidly\u00a0 put it into practice and equipped the largest solar thermodynamic plants. In 1969, he tested in Bossey-Bangou, near the capital of Niger, the first thermodynamic solar pump motor developed by Jean-Pierre Girardier.
\nWhile holding the position of teacher and director of the Nigerian Office of Solar Energy, he created the reputation of the office.<\/p>\n

Abdou Moumouni Dioffo has distinguished himself by the development of solar water heater inventions and a steam engine patents. All these researches and effort earned him a Guinness Award for Scientific Achievement in 1984.<\/p>\n

Abdou Moumouni Dioffo is now considered one of the specialists of African solar energy. Like the sun, he was an inexhaustible source of energy and inventiveness.
